I liked A Baiuca because it’s a small, less touristy restaurant with live Fado music. The music and the ambience were fantastic. I ordered the vegetarian pasta option but it wasn’t so great. I’m sure their more typical dishes are way better! Make a reservation! Not many tables and it gets packed!
Incredible fado experience in Lisbon. It is really worth booking in advance. Food and wine are reasonably priced as well. Looks like the new management has made some really positive changes to the place.
Wonderful and cozy place! Yes it is small but i think actually that makes the place special and unique! Live Fado music with Fernanda was something special, emotional and memorable! Also the guitar players were so good!
Of course Clara ( if I remember her name right) the manager of please, a really nice person and also a wonderful Fado Singer!

Myself and my boyfriend had a wonderful evening here. The food is nothing to write home about but the fado experience was like no other. In such a small and quaint restaurant the ambiance was stellar. We had several different singers throughout the night. The music was magical. We were so close to the musicians we got to speak to one of them about his Portuguese guitar which was very interesting. He was very nice and welcoming!
Make sure you book this restaurant well in advance though! We didn’t manage to book a spot but they advised us to show up first thing before opening in case that some people who booked would not show up and luckily for us we managed to get a spot.
A definite tourist spot but still enjoyable. No entrance fee to listen to live Fado music which is a plus. Food is good. Got the large sardines. Would recommend to go for a fado music dinner experience.

This is the absolute best place for fado in Lisbon. Definitely make a reservation before your trip, as we were lucky enough to get in only because another party no-showed. The food is fantastic, service exceptional, and the entertainment can’t be beat. By far, this was our favorite meal in Lisbon.
